Summer Things into Winter Storage: You’ll Thank Us Next Year
Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness,
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun;
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run;
To bend with apples the moss'd cottage-trees,
And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells
With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,
And still more, later flowers for the bees,
Until they think warm days will never cease,
For summer has o'er-brimm'd their clammy cells.
As the fabulous poet, Keats pointed out, Autumn is great, and it’s pretty much here.
Summer has disappeared, and it’s time to winterise things so that we can enjoy them again in our all too brief British summer next year.
So here are some easyStorage tips on ensuring that your summer doesn’t get off to a bad start next year:
-
Winterise your boat properly!
-
Stow your camping gear
-
Help pool toys last longer
Make sure they are clean and totally dry and then deflate them, and store dry, ideally folded in fabric to absorb any environmental water and prevent the plastic rotting/sticking to itself.
-
Make sure your patio furniture is still usable next year.
Make sure it’s thoroughly dried out and store it somewhere dry. Wood and wicker both warp and rot. Aluminium discolours. Steel will rust. Plastic rots. There’s everything to play for by bringing them out of the wet garden environment – and we haven’t event mentioned the mould word yet!
If you have somewhere warm and dry to keep things, great. But if you need a helping hand to store your summer things, easyStorage not only stores but collects and returns your belongings, at around half of the price of traditional storage – across the UK.
You can find a no obligation quote, and even a space estimator, here!
We also offer easyStorage Boxes and other packing materials to keep all those items protected and dry including boxes of all sizes, bubble wrap/blankets/paper, tape and other accessories.
